29 JanMy portfolio needs to target anyone and everyone associated with the communication arts or graphic design community/industry, as well as those interested in receiving design work. To make this possible, I’ll need to provide a wide coverage of my abilities by including portfolio samples from each field.
My goal for my portfolio website is to provide easy navigation through a tasteful and aesthetically pleasing interface, while showcasing the web-skills that I plan on learning throughout the course of this class.
Graphic design is a field made up of a bunch of other little fields. I am not a superhuman who is incredible at all of them; I have my strengths and weaknesses. Ideally, I’d like to get the attention of local(bay area) design houses, magazines, or other publications. That being said, I’d like my portfolio to especially stand out to those associated with or looking for work in the areas of logo, poster, and editorial design.
